I never liked that sock wool. I mean, I liked it, but not for me. I sometimes buy things because I think I want to be the kind of person who owns that sort of a thing, and end up never using it, or liking it, and wasting pots of money. It's a kind of inverted genius. Fortunately I also get regular urges to learn new things, today's thing being dyeing wool. I'm rambling aren't I? So I bought juniper green food colouring, yes there is such a thing, though I thought I was buying moss green, crucial difference, and chucked some vinegar and hot water at it too, and magic! New wool.
Now I can use it to knit a cowl, because I think I want to be the kind of person who wears cowls.
I could be the kind of person who wears cowls.
Eilidh brought a note home from school purporting to be from her principal, stating she'd been voted the most awesome student in the school and I should buy her chocolate. She gets very bored in Life Skills, and what's a girl to do? Last notice she made up she pretended to be the senior dean who was confiscating a friend's entire locker (which she emptied and hid) for not keeping it tidy enough. She waited until her friend was good and mad at the stupid school and their ridiculous rules before she told her the truth. Which is kind of awesome. I bought her the chocolate.
